whilst on some leisure time with his bandmates from The Police.
It is not clear where the pictures are taken, but Mirrorpix think it might be Ireland.
The Police were a British rock band formed in London in 1977. The Police became globally popular in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Emerging in the British new wave scene, they played a style of rock influenced by punk, reggae, and jazz. Aswell as five hit albums, including Outlandos d Amour and Reggatta de Blanc, they enjoyed global hit singles such as Roxanne, Message In A Bottle and Every Breath You Take. Band members were Stewart Copeland on drums, Sting (real name Gordon Sumner on lead vocals, bass, and the main songwriter) and Andy Summers on guitar. Henry Padovani was also their guitarist from January to August 1977, but left the band before they became famous.

This print captures a rare moment of leisure for the iconic rock band, The Police. Taken in October 1980, it features Andy Summers, the talented guitarist of the group, relaxing in an opulent stately room alongside his bandmates. Although the exact location remains unknown, Mirrorpix speculates that this serene setting might be Ireland. Formed in London in 1977, The Police swiftly gained global popularity during the late 1970s and early 1980s. Emerging from the British new wave scene, their unique style blended elements of punk, reggae, and jazz. With five successful albums under their belt including "Outlandos d'Amour" and "Reggatta de Blanc" they produced chart-topping hits like "Roxanne" "Message In A Bottle" and "Every Breath You Take". The trio consisted of Stewart Copeland on drums, Sting (born Gordon Sumner) as lead vocalist and bassist - also serving as the primary songwriter - and Andy Summers showcasing his exceptional guitar skills. Notably, Henry Padovani briefly joined them as a guitarist from January to August 1977 before parting ways with the band prior to their rise to fame. This nostalgic photograph was captured by Peter Stone on October 9th, 1980. It serves as a timeless reminder of The Police's influential presence within music history and offers fans a glimpse into their personal moments away from stage lights and roaring crowds.
