Military balloon crash. This crash took place on 25 May 1891, near Ermenonville Forest, France. It involved bad weather bringing down a French balloon from the Chalais-Meudon aerostation, near Paris. The balloonists suffered broken bones and bruises. A second balloon was also present (background) landing some distance away. The Aerostation Militaire at Chalais-Meudon was established in 1877.
