Dressed in Labours colours, red and yellow, she sat on her mothers shoulders clutching a bright horseshoe " a present" she explained, " for Mr. Griffiths". Will Griffiths is Labour candidate for Manchester Exchange Division. Said Nadines mother, Mrs Rose Lilley, " she doesn t look too bad under a Labour Government, does she?". February 1950 P018717
