The pub, which was owned by Seabrooke and Sons Limited at the time, was a popular gathering place for the local community, serving as both a watering hole and a social hub. The back of the print reveals that the pub's trading record dates back to 1928 and 1931. By July 2018, however, the Prince Albert had been transformed into a Chinese restaurant, named Ming Long. The date of this conversion is listed as 1930, adding an intriguing layer of mystery to the photograph's history. The 1930s were a significant time in British history, marked by economic instability and social change.
