EDITORS COMMENTS
In the golden age of the Roaring Twenties, the Riviera coastline of the French Riviera became a playground for the rich and famous, where glamour, jazz, and dance reigned supreme. Amidst this vibrant scene, the grand couturier Soulie created two exquisite outfits, perfectly suited for the dansants, or dance parties, that were a nightly occurrence along the coast. The first ensemble, a stunning evening gown, features a flowing, bias-cut silk chiffon dress with intricate beadwork and sequin embroidery, shimmering in the soft glow of the Mediterranean night. The dress clings to the body, accentuating the natural curves of the wearer, while the delicate straps and low back add an air of sophistication and allure. A matching beaded headpiece adorns the wearer's head, completing the look with a touch of elegance. The second outfit, a more casual yet equally chic option, consists of a flapper-style dress and a matching jacket. The dress, made of silk crepe de Chine, boasts a high waist, dropped waistline, and a fringe hem that moves with the wearer as they dance. The jacket, made of the same fabric, is cropped and features a notched lapel and long sleeves, providing both style and functionality. Both outfits exude the spirit of the Jazz Age, with their bold colors, intricate details, and fluid lines. Soulie, a renowned French couturier, expertly captured the essence of the Riviera's glamorous and carefree atmosphere, making these outfits true masterpieces of 1920s fashion. Whether at a grand ball or a lively dansant, these outfits are sure to turn heads and leave a lasting impression.
