Known as one of Europe's most violent pogroms, the Fettmilch Rising was named after its leader, Vinzenz Fettmilch. He incited a mob against the Jewish community residing in Judengasse (Jewish Street) within Frankfurt. The graphic arts used by Keller vividly depict the besetment faced by Jewish people during this dark chapter.
